Hi
I’ve the exact same condition, I’ve had it for two year, and yes, I do too cry from it. I’ve tried massage, therapy, etc, nothing seems to work but chiropractor. Still, there seem to be many reasons for it, the first on is over contracted muscles, from posture, stress or psychosomatic factors. Nutritional factors include an excess of calcium in diet and deficiency in magnesium, which relaxes muscles.
There are many books on this at Amazon. Another theory is called Trigger Point, again a book at Amazon. This says that some small, tiny muscle contractions form in muscle tissue and trap nerves, generating pain and referring it to other parts of the body. Therapy is to pressure the point long enough to have it “disolve” and let the muscles fibers realign.
I know how difficult it can be to solve. I’m actually trying acupuncture this week, I’ve read it works wonders for pain. I hope she gets well soon!
