March 8th, 2009 - 8:08 pmExercising will really help it. Walking is the best. Then ask your chiropracter to do some adjustments on you and also ask him what kind of streches to do. You might want to try a warm heat pad. If you warm it up and then put it on your back then the pain might go away a little bit. But I strongly suggest that you exercise, it works the best!

i’ve had back pain for over a year now and the one thing that i found gave me instant pain relief was doing yoga. there are tons of sites on the internet that can give you diagrams and instructions on different poses that will help relieve back pain. stretching your back will help with the muscles big time.

March 16th, 2009 - 6:23 pmHi Erin,
You need a mechanical support to relieve your tired back muscles from the effort of supporting the upper part of your back:
A rectangular towel about 12cm x 30cm to attach to the area with a belt and tighten the belt while stretching straight your back and neck.Keep the belt for as long as you can take it during the day, then repeat.
Spray the area first with Voltaren muscular spray for sports injuries.
It will help holding the aching muscles in place, and relief them from making extra effort until they heal.
This is to be done not more than for 4 days.
If pain persists… more serious medication will be needed.
dont forget to stretch to the max extent when you attach and tighten the belt. Have someone to help you doing it.

apply some heat to that area 15-20 minutes at a time also try putting a tennis ball up against a wall back up to the ball preferably where the pain is and slide up and down with the ball in place. You may have some muscle spasms
